This is an early version of the solid state memory card for the Basic Controller. Because of a flaw in the PROM of this card which could cause (very unlikely) a loss of control in UAC systems, this card was recalled by Honeywell and should not be used.

In the event of a back-up memory failure in a UAC system, the restart of a Basic Controller using the 30750218-008 solid state memory board can result in slot outputs defaulting to their lower limits, which may require immediate manual intervention to maintain process control. This problem was corrected with the 30750218-009 and 30750218-010 solid state memory boards. For complete details, see Honeywell Customer Resource Manual PD 01 A06 (H).

This solid state memory card is used in Honeywell’s 1D Basic Controller. Its ROM contains the programs that the processor must execute in order to perform the control functions of the Basic Controller. The card also contains volatile RAM, used to store data such as ranges, constants, configuration, tuning constants, etc. This card has no LED’s or jumpers.
