MC Hiway 2

The Multifunction Hiway 2 card, in combination with the 4DP7APXDH111 Hiway Cable Interface card, enables the MFC to communicate with preferred access devices such as the EOS over the data Hiway.

This hiway card is where the Hiway address is set for the MFC. The MFC requires two addresses, BASE and BASE + 32.

The primary Multifunction Controller uses 5 bits to select a base address from 5 to 31. The upper address is the base address plus 32, which the controller sets automatically. The first three jumpers are always open for normal operation of a primary Multifunction Controller.

The Reserve MC director uses a single address, set by using all 6 address bits on the jumper block to select an available address from 5 to 63. The second position from the left (#) is shorted for RMCD operation.
